MARYANN COTTON RECORDS NEW ALBUM AT JOHNNY DEPP'S HOLLYWOOD HOME

Source Rocks Magazine:
Maryann Cotton about working with Tommy Henriksen at Johnny Depp's Hollywood home.
''Tommy has been such an important friend and supporter of mine for years. He’s one of those guys who’s always been there and has probably done more for me over the years than he even realizes.
I remember I’d been at a Playboy party in Hollywood the night before, and the next morning I got a call from Tommy asking me to come up to Johnny Depp’s house in the Hollywood Hills. He had a short break from the Alice Cooper tour, and Yungblud, Steven Tyler, and Joe Perry had all just wrapped up at Johnny’s place, so there was a lot going on there around that time. I got myself together and headed up there.
Tommy became the last important piece of this whole thing. What started with Dick Wagner’s vision and concept, bringing in Alice to contribute with lyrics and key elements to the story, and later Steve Hunter to complete that legendary Hunter/Wagner guitar sound, finally came full circle.
Not only is Tommy an incredible musician, Alice Cooper’s right-hand man, and the secret weapon in Hollywood Vampires, he’s my friend and my brother. Being at Johnny’s house working on this record, not only on the music, but talking strategy and figuring out where to take the whole thing, was pretty fucking surreal. And for me, it just seals the deal.
I grew up in Denmark listening to these guys, basically devoting my life to Lou Reed, Aerosmith, and Alice Cooper, dreaming about this world. Now I’m making an album with the guys who wrote, played on, or contributed to the music that made me want to do this in the first place.
I don’t think the younger me could ever have imagined that one day I’d actually be right in the middle of it.
How the fuck did I end up here, making a record with my heroes!?
Well, here I am, rock ’n’ roll is very much alive.
And whether you like it or not, the monster Maryann Cotton is coming!''
